The Des Moines Botanical and Environmental Center is blooming with thousands of flowers and many ways you can enjoy them! Scenically located on the east bank of the Des Moines River, the Botanical Center is an ideal site to hold business meetings and social events. Each year, over 2,000 private events and public meetings are held beneath the dome or in one of the Centers six meeting rooms or outdoor gardens. Easy access to I-235, ample free parking and handicapped accessibility combine with the spectacular floral setting to make the Botanical Center one of the most popular places to hold an event in the Metro area. We can help you tailor an event to your specific budget and needs.  | Dome This year-round facility is a major attraction for Des Moines as each season brings its own special beauty. The dome and conservatory provide a lovely setting for wedding ceremonies or social gatherings. The tranquility and tropical atmosphere provides the perfect backdrop without the concern of inclement weather.

 | Show House Opened to the public in December 2007, the Show House offers a natural setting with revolving displays. This quaint venue is ideal for small, intimate weddings and social events for groups as large as 40 persons.

 | Herb Garden The Herb Garden and gazebo is a popular gathering space affording an open view of the gardens. The Herb Garden is the location for many quaint weddings and small social events.

 | Conference Room The conference meeting room comfortably accommodates up to 20 attendees, the room has a large conference room table, plus chairs.

 | Levitt Room The Levitt room has room for 60 persons or less to conduct a wide variety of activities from small celebrations to comfortable accommodations for training seminars.

 | Oak Room The Oak room has capacity to accommodate the most demanding and focused corporate training and education events including public seminars and workshops as well as celebrations of 175 or less attendees.

 | Willow Room The Willow room has capacity to accommodate the most demanding and focused corporate training and education events including public seminars and workshops as well as celebrations of 200 or less attendees.

 | Oak/Willow Room The newly renovated Oak and Willow rooms combined, provide for an appealing venue for social gatherings, training programs, and wedding receptions up to 250 persons. The Oak and Willow rooms can accommodate your next corporate retreat, meeting or team-building effort.

 | Riverwalk Cafe Large windows provide a fascinating view of the beautiful tropical scenery and show beds in the Conservatory. This facility provides an up-scale setting for business meetings, social gatherings and intimate celebrations accommodating up to 70 persons.

 | Swartz Room The Swartz room provides a great atmosphere for meetings or social events accommodating 40 persons or less. The room has a sink and workspace countertop.

 | Walsh Room This room provides a pleasant atmosphere for meetings or social events accommodating 40 persons or less. Windows facing the south provide a picturesque view of the garden court yard.
